Charting New Routes
Our route development strategy is rooted in key objectives to expand our group airports' route networks and enhance their global aviation standing. In FY 2022-23, we focused on building volumes, especially by enhancing regional connectivity, and established strategic partnerships with Indian carriers. Dedicated destination marketing has increased demand and attracted new airlines to our airports. The gradual transition towards a more premium route mix contributes to the revenue optimisation initiatives undertaken by us. By December 2022, airports like Lucknow, Jaipur, and Guwahati saw passenger volumes exceed pre-Covid levels. Major airports like Mumbai and Ahmedabad are nearly at 100% pre-Covid demand, indicating potential for further growth. Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), India's first multi-modal aviation and transportation hub, is set to provide comprehensive connectivity options for efficient travel. Through these initiatives, we aim to strengthen our airports' roles as gateways and drive growth in the aviation sector.
